I grew up in a rural area outside of Omaha, NE. I have always had a love of the outdoors, nature and small town life. It is this love that began my passion for photography. In fact, I actually started taking picture as a way of “hunting in the off season”. I picked up a used Pentax K-1000 film camera and a couple of cheap lenses and started trying to capture photos of deer and other wildlife. I had a good time, but needless to say, the photos bordered on lousy. Now, many years and cameras later my hobby has evolved into what you see here. And what you see here was never really my intention. I never dreamed that anybody might actually like my photos, nor did I think that I would ever create a web site to share them with the world. But here it is for you to (hopefully) enjoy.

Thank you for taking the time to visit this site. If you like what you see or are interested in prints please feel free to contact me.

Being from a rural area, I can spend hours on end traveling the back roads exploring and photographing the things that I find. Because of this, most of my subjects are wildlife, landscapes, and my favorite; old/abandoned/neglected/forgotten buildings, barns, farms and out of the way places. Many of these places are now gone and my photos may be all that remains. So, if you happen to know of a location that you think I would like to shoot please contact me with the information.

Not to sound like I am giving an acceptance speech at the Grammy's, but I would like to give a little nod to my friends and family that have supported and encouraged me in my hobby. And a big nod to my friend Chris who has given me so much knowledge, advice, and constructive criticism along the way.
